Lwakataka stop talking - walk the talk

It's been reported in the papers today that after nearly finishing 2nd overall behind Jamie Whyte in the 2010 KCB Pearl of Africa Rally, Ponsiano Lwakataka is considering competing in next month's Rally Rwanda aka Mountain Gorilla Rally where he not only hopes to beat Whyte but also salvage his lead in the NRC.

You see according to Ponsiano, Whyte would not have tasted victory in Uganda had he not had the misfortune of having to drive without a windscreen for the whole of the saturday leg of the rally. To be fair, Ponsiano did win some stages from Whyte. But so did GOdfrey Lubega, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Giancarlo Davite and Jas Mangat. None of those other drivers are baying for Whyte's blood or threatening to hunt him down in Rwanda where he not only hopes to enjoy the scenery but win the rally and the african championship to boot. Never mind that if that were to happen it would be a record of sorts - winning an international title in the first half of the season.

And if it didn't happen, I would love for Ponsiano Lwakataka to go down in the history books as the man that made sure of it. So go ahead Ponsi, quit talking, prepare your car n enter the rally (don't forget your boda helmet in case you run into some cows this time).
